High-Speed A/D 12-Bit Digitizers
High-Speed A/D 12-Bit Digitizers GaGe 12-bit resolution digitizer models divide the input voltage range into 4,096 different digitization levels, which improves the delectability limit by a factor of 16 over the 256 levels of an 8-bit resolution digitizer model.GaGe 12-bit digitizers feature sampling rates at up to 3 GigaSamples per second (GS/s) on 2 channels or 6 GigaSamples per second (GS/s) on 1 channel with input bandwidths of up to 1.75 GHz, deep onboard sample memory up to 4 GS (8 GB), and true ENOBs up to 8.9 bits.In addition to their advanced features, our 12-bit digitizers [...]
High-Speed A/D 14-Bit Digitizers
High-Speed A/D 14-Bit Digitizers GaGe 14-bit resolution digitizer models divide the input voltage range into 16,384 different digitization levels, which improves the delectability limit by a factor of 4 over the 4,096 levels of a 12-bit resolution digitizer model and a factor of 16 over the 256 levels of an 8-bit resolution digitizer model. GaGe 14-bit digitizers feature sampling rates at up to 500 MegaSamples per second (MS/s) and are available with 2 digitizing channels, input bandwidths of up to 250 MHz, deep onboard sample memory up to 4 GS (8 GB), and true ENOBs [...]
PCI Express (PCIe) Data Streaming
All Gage PCI Express (PCIe) CompuScope Digitizers are capable of streaming acquired waveform data through the PCIe bus directly to the host PC RAM by utilizing the eXpert PCIe Data Streaming Firmware. By contrast, in standard Memory Mode operations the waveform data is first acquired to the digitizer card's onboard memory, acquisition is stopped, and then the data residing in onboard memory can be transferred to the host PC system. eXpert PCIe Data Streaming Mode operations provide two distinct advantages over standard Memory Mode. First, Streaming Mode may overcome the acquisition time limit imposed by the size volume of [...]

GaGe Whitepaper: Use of a PC-Based Digitizer in a Medical Acoustic Microscopy System
Use of a PC-Based Digitzer in a Medical Acoustic Microscopy System By Andrew Dawson, Ph. D-GaGe (a Vitrek brand) Introduction ABSTRACT: Construction of a medical acoustic microscopy system is discussed with focus upon usage of a PC-based high-performance GaGe RazorMax digitizer. Three main aspects of the RazorMax’s operation are addressed: usage of Dynamic Range Expansion (DRE) to maximize the detectability of small ultrasonic echoes, high-speed PCI Express Data Streaming for the fastest scanning speed and usage of GaGe’s Trigger Out signal for efficient and synchronous ultrasonic triggering. Conventional ultrasonic imaging [...]
